GE Super Radio III Back and Better than Ever? Seems So.

Our friends at Herculodge have reported that new and improved GE and RCA Super Radio III's are out and in stock.  It's been confirmed that they are not the inferior radios made by Thompson Electronics of China, but are new manufacture out of Canada by a company called Intertek.

Reportedly, there are slight design differences on the new ones from the old ones.  Aside from the Thompson/Intertek markings, there's slight differences in the power button and trim design.  No information on the internal workings at this time.

This is good news.  GE Super Radios are well known among radio fans as being among the best. However, when RCA acquired GE, the RCA Super Radio died out after inferior radios populated this once brilliant line.  Should the new ones be as good as the old, the competition for AM/FM analog radios just got a lot hotter.  A new GE Super Radio III with a $59 price point should give the Super Radio inspired C.Crane CCRadio-EP a serious run.
