Let's see how long this will last!

Good day, eh?  And welcome to my blog.

I've been wanting to do a long term writing project for awhile now, and decided to try a blog.  I've tried ones in the past and after a few short postings I end up abandoning them.  They just never held my interest and they never really had a point.

This one has a point.

Kind of.

Awhile ago, when I was starting a new job, I was asked to introduce myself to a room full of people.  I was asked to state my name, previous work experience, what strengths or specialties I was bringing to the company, and... what hobbies I had. I had about 3 minutes to prepare this.

The first three things were easy, it was all biographical.  But hobbies?  I never thought about that before.  When I hear the word 'Hobbies' I always think of model airplane making, knitting, stamp collecting; that kind of thing.  I don't do any of those.  With time quickly running out, I tried to think of how I spend my free time and I realized something:  My entire life is a hobby. 

So why not blog about it?  What I'm currently into, what I'm currently reading, watching, doing, whatever.   What to expect?  A lot of opinions, reviews, and more than likely some boring crap.  I don't expect what interests me to interest you.  And this blog isn't for you, it's for me.

This is my hobby life.  Welcome to it.
