Listening From the Edge of the World
It was time for the annual winter vacation on the coast, so I spent a few days earlier this week holed up at a beach side motel in Seaside, OR. I saw hail, snow, and rain (sometimes all at once) and constant wind. Gotta love the Oregon Coast in February.
While there, I tested out my trusty CCRadio-SW to see what I'd get just from the stock whip antenna. Excuse the quality of the above pic, it was taken with a 4 year old cell phone, but you can see the radio and the waves of the Pacific not 100 yards away. I felt like I truly was on the edge of the world!
I didn't log every day's listening; as you can see from the ridiculous length of the 2/22 log, I'd probably still be there logging it and I never would've gotten the gumption to actually look it up and record everything into the blog. I gave up on 2/23 and just enjoyed and listened to what I found instead of worrying about writing it down. I think after you look at the log of 2/22, you'll agree that was the best idea.
